Job summary

ReCon Management Services in the United States seeks a disciplined designer to develop mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, civil or structural design packages for complex industrial projects. The role involves heavy client interaction and oversight of the discipline design team.

Responsibilities include planning work, laying out drawings, leading field layout, producing detailed drawings, coordinating with other disciplines, and mentoring designers on small to mid-size projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 10+ years of experience, or related associate degree and 5+ years experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Plan design effort based on approved scope and schedule.
• Layout drawings from engineer’s sketches and verbal instructions.
• Lead field layout and routing of piping and equipment.
• Develop detailed drawings utilizing personal discretion and judgment.
• Coordinate design with other disciplines and maintain good working relationships.
• Supervise designers and drafters on small to mid-size projects; provide adequate instructions for quality work.
• Prepare and participate in 3D model reviews.
• Coach and teach designers and drafters.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
