Job summary

Tallgrass Energy is seeking an experienced Lead I&C Engineer in Houston to guide instrumentation and control system design across capital projects. The role involves leading PDP packages, FEED studies, and overseeing design through commissioning, with emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

You will mentor staff, manage client relationships, and support business development while ensuring technical rigor across DCS/PLC, CEMS, and instrumentation deliverables.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree and FE exam completed.
• 15 years of engineering experience with EPC and controls/automation focus.
• Knowledge of OSHA 1910.119, ISA-61511, PSM concepts.
• PE license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design team through Engineering/Procurement/Construction (EPC) processes.
• Oversight of PDP, FEED studies, and detailed design through commissioning.
• Mentor engineers and support staff on process design and controls.
• Develop and manage PDP basis to meet client objectives and budgets.
• Coordinate client relations and business development activities.
