Job summary

JL Construction and Development LLC in Central Utah is seeking an experienced HVAC Foreman to lead residential HVAC installations on new custom homes. You will oversee a crew, read blueprints, and ensure projects are completed on time with high workmanship.

The ideal candidate has hands-on HVAC installation experience, prior foreman or lead installer roles, blueprint literacy, and a strong focus on safety and compliance. Local travel within Central Utah is required.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with residential HVAC installation in new home construction.
• Leadership or foreman experience, or potential to step into that role.
• Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Knowledge of residential heating, cooling, ventilation, ductwork, and mechanical systems.
• Experience troubleshooting installation and equipment issues.
• Strong organizational skills to manage projects and crews.
• Understanding HVAC codes, safety requirements, and best practices.
• Valid driver's license.
• EPA Section 608 certification where required.
• Positive attitude and pride in craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

What You'll Be Doing

As our HVAC Foreman, you'll play an important role in overseeing residential HVAC installations from start to finish. We're looking for someone who can confidently manage the technical side of the job while helping keep projects organized, efficient, and on schedule.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Lead and oversee residential HVAC installations, primarily on new custom home construction projects.
• Coordinate and supervise HVAC installers, ensuring quality workmanship and efficient jobsite operations.
• Read and interpret construction blueprints, HVAC layouts, specifications, and mechanical plans.
• Install and oversee the installation of ductwork, furnaces, air conditioning systems, heat pumps, ventilation equipment, and related components.
• Coordinate with project managers and other trades to keep installations running smoothly.
• Identify and troubleshoot HVAC installation issues and provide practical solutions.
• Ensure installations meet applicable building codes, manufacturer specifications, and safety standards.
• Maintain an organized, professional, and safe working environment.
• Help train and mentor less-experienced team members.
• Take ownership of assigned projects and ensure work is completed correctly and on time.

What We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate has:

• Strong hands-on experience with residential HVAC installation, preferably in new home construction.
• Previous leadership, foreman, or lead installer experience, or the skills and ambition to step into that role.
• The ability to read and understand blueprints, mechanical drawings, and HVAC specifications.
• Knowledge of residential heating, cooling, ventilation, ductwork, and mechanical systems.
• Experience troubleshooting installation and equipment issues.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage projects and crews effectively.
• An understanding of applicable HVAC codes, safety requirements, and installation best practices.
• A valid driver's license.
• EPA Section 608 certification, where required for assigned refrigerant work.
• A positive attitude, dependable work ethic, and pride in quality craftsmanship.
