Job summary

Evolve Transporters in Indiana designs and builds premium race transporters and mobile workspaces. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of HVAC engineering or thermal systems experience.
• Experience designing HVAC systems for commercial/industrial/mobile applications.
• Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks or AutoCAD) and BOM creation.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC, ventilation, heating, cooling, and environmental control systems for custom transporters and vehicles.
• Perform load calculations and equipment sizing for system integrity.
• Develop HVAC layouts, schematics, BOMs, and installation documentation.
• Select and specify HVAC equipment, controls, ducting, and related components.
• Collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, and Production teams during design and build phases.
• Support prototype development, testing, and validation activities.
• Troubleshoot HVAC performance and field service issues.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Develop HVAC design standards and best practices.
• Evaluate emerging HVAC technologies and efficiency improvements.
• Support purchasing with component selection and supplier evaluation.
• Maintain engineering documentation and revision control.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and manufacturing.
