Job summary

Cooling Unlimited is seeking an HVAC Service Department Manager to own our residential service operation in Reading, MA. This hands-on leadership role requires guiding technicians, managing daily operations, and driving department performance.

You will oversee scheduling, dispatch, invoicing, budgeting support, and safety compliance while developing your team and maintaining high‑quality service for our customers.

Qualifications

• 4–6+ years HVAC field experience in service or installation.
• Experience leading, supervising, or mentoring HVAC technicians.
• Strong understanding of residential HVAC service operations.
• Experience with scheduling, dispatch, invoicing, and/or service department processes.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technicians, customers, and office staff.
• EPA Certification is required.
• Leadership approach combining accountability, support, and development.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Service Team by managing day-to-day activities of the HVAC service department.
• Oversee service scheduling, dispatching, and technician workflow.
• Own department performance by tracking KPIs and productivity; review invoices and records.
