Job summary

Walmart Inc. in Hastings, MN is hiring a Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration for a full-time role. You will install, diagnose, and maintain HVAC and refrigeration systems across supermarket facilities, including rack systems and energy management surveillance.

The job requires reading blueprints and following safety protocols (OSHA/EPA). You will mentor junior technicians, coordinate with managers, and participate in after-hours on-call calls to support essential operations.

Qualifications

• HVAC/R certification required or equivalent experience.
• 2-year Vocational/Technical HVAC/R program preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Installs HVAC and refrigeration systems and related components.
• Calibrates and configures low ambient systems and direct digital controls.
• Diagnoses mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues and performs preventive maintenance.
• Maintains and repairs supermarket refrigeration units and energy management systems.
• Leads safety practices per OSHA and EPA standards during service tasks.
• Mentors junior technicians and coordinates with managers for field work.
• Operates company vehicle and participates in on-call rotations.
