Job summary

Hussmann Corporation seeks an experienced Installation Technician to maintain, diagnose, and repair HVAC/R systems in commercial settings. You will lead on-site installations, coordinate teams, read plans, and ensure safety and quality standards.

Requirements include high school or equivalent with 10+ years in HVAC/R, valid license, and ability to travel. The role offers hands-on training, growth opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Required Level: High School or ten years of related experience or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience with HS/GED.
• EPA 608 Certification preferred but not required.
• HVAC/R with minimum 10-year commercial experience.
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Physically able to climb ladders, work at heights, lift up to 50 lbs.
• Excellent verbal and written communications, detail oriented and motivated.
• Mechanical aptitude and strong organizational skills.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and out of town as required.
• Ability to work independently and in a team with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for timely completion of assigned projects and customer satisfaction.
• Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities based on priority and personnel skill.
• Communicates with customers, building owners, contractors, and field support staff.
• Ensure compliance with internal contracting processes and closeout documentation.
• Maintain forecasted cost at completion by reviewing hours and material costs; discuss scope, budget, and close-out with contractors and owners.
• Coordinate installation or remodel on-site with installers and helpers; supervise and estimate labor/materials.
• Read plans and blueprints related to cabling and energy management systems.
• Perform all duties of an Installation Technician; delegate tasks and motivate team.
• Read and interpret plans, specifications, contracts, drawings, service bulletins and regulations.
• Inspect work areas, tools, equipment, and provide safety training; enforce safety rules.
