Qualifications

• Possession of Oregon Limited Maintenance Specialty Contractor HVAC/R License or Oregon Journeyman Plumbers License.
• Two years experience in commercial or industrial settings.
• Knowledge of building codes, methods, materials, tools, and equipment in mechanical and plumbing trades.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic tool proficiency (multimeters, gauges).
• Ability to obtain building permits when necessary.
• Physical stamina for working in awkward or restricted spaces.
• High school diploma.
• Valid Oregon Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Prepare reports and track labor and material costs as directed.
• Work from sketches, plans, and blueprints; refer to manuals for repairs.
• Perform routine checks, replace air filters, clean ducts, and test system performance.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair systems controlling temperature, airflow and IAQ.
• Perform advanced maintenance requiring journey-level licensing.
• Operate and assist with district energy management and building control systems.
• Provide technical guidance to district staff and supervise contracted work.
• Make cost estimates and order materials; research equipment purchases.
• Perform general maintenance for safe district facilities operation.
• Maintain regular attendance and collaborate with colleagues.
• Stay informed on technology developments and industry qualifications.
• Work safely per OSHA and regulatory guidelines; operate district vehicle as needed.
• May perform emergency repairs during evenings or weekends.
