Job summary

Qualifications

• Eight years of progressively responsible experience in air conditioning, refrigeration, temperature control, steam distribution, or heating trades.
• Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC installation, repair, and maintenance; refrigerants, environmental impact, and gas reclamation.
• Familiarity with OSHA refrigeration requirements, NEC, plumbing, steamfitting, and electrical practices.
• Certification for CFC refrigerants as required by federal law.
• Experience supervising contractors and training maintenance personnel is preferred.

• Interpret technical data, drawings, and contract documents to select equipment.
• Supervise contractors, train maintenance staff, and guide work of other mechanics.
