Daikin Applied Americas in Miami, FL seeks an experienced HVAC Journeyman to diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial equipment on-site. You will work on rooftops, chillers, boilers, and water source heat pumps, with hands-on mentoring of apprentices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years related experience with increasing responsibility.
• Journeyman status recognized by the union.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• HVAC certificate or technical schooling.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
• Rotational Emergency Call Support.
• Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
• Willingness to mentor apprentices.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and service commercial HVAC equipment.
• Inspect and test systems to verify functionality.
• Perform preventative maintenance to prevent breakdowns.
• Lead apprentices during rebuilds and retrofits.
• Document billing, timecards, and inventory as required.
• Adhere to safety policies and OSHA guidelines.
