Job summary

Daikin Applied, the world’s largest HVAC company, seeks a full-time Journeyman in Salt Lake City onsite to diagnose, repair, and maintain a range of commercial HVAC equipment, including rooftops, chillers, boilers, and water source heat pumps.

You will lead apprentice technicians, perform advanced diagnostics, ensure safety, educate customers, and document all billing and timekeeping. Daikin provides a company vehicle, laptop, and mobile devices, plus ongoing training and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years related experience with increasing responsibility; or 7+ related experience.
• Journeyman status by the union.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• HVAC certificate or equivalent education.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
• Rotational Emergency Call Support.
• No visa sponsorship for this position.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and service HVAC equipment including chillers and rooftop units.
• Perform intermediate and advanced diagnostics and brazing of equipment.
• Educate customers on proper use, maintenance schedules, and manuals.
• Lead apprentices during rebuilds and retrofits with hands-on guidance.
• Record billing, timecards, inventory, and other reports in a timely manner.
