Job summary

Daikin Applied seeks an experienced HVAC Journeyman to diagnose, repair and perform preventative maintenance on commercial and industrial systems in Miami, FL. You will service rooftops, chillers, boilers, and air handling equipment on-site, and mentor apprentices during rebuilds and retrofits.

The role requires strong diagnostic skills, a valid license, and commitment to safety guidelines; union-related opportunities and ongoing training are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years related experience or 7+ related experience; journeyman status preferred
• High School Diploma or GED required; HVAC certificate or equivalent training encouraged
• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
• Work visa sponsorship not available for this position

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on commercial and industrial HVAC equipment
• Inspect and test systems including chillers, rooftops, water source heat pumps, air handling units and boilers
• Lead apprentices through hands-on demonstrations and assist in rebuilds/retrofits
• Document billing, timecards, and inventory; report activities promptly
• Download programs into equipment and analyze trend data to optimize performance
• Ensure safety policies and OSHA guidelines are followed on each site
