Job summary

Putnam City Maintenance in Oklahoma City, OK seeks an HVAC Journeyman to manage HVAC systems across district facilities. The role reports to the Maintenance Director and supervises the HVAC crew, overseeing repairs, installations, and system improvements.

The successful candidate will hold relevant state and city licenses, with strong knowledge of boilers, chillers, and air handling equipment. Immediate start is available for a full-time position.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Valid State of Oklahoma contractor’s license.
• Applicable city contractor’s license (Bethany, Oklahoma City and Warr Acres).
• Licensed in boilers, refrigeration, unlimited air conditioning, unlimited heating, natural gas piping and sheet metal.
• Good knowledge of HVAC central plants and individual units (chillers, cooling towers, boilers, rooftop package, split systems).

Responsibilities

• Supervise HVAC crew and coordinate maintenance work.
• Oversee all repairs, replacements, remodels, additions, etc.
• Oversee seasonal tear downs and inspections of boiler, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, air handlers, etc.
• Schedule and oversee annual state inspections of all HVAC equipment for the district.
• Advise other trades in the Maintenance or Buildings & Grounds departments on operation and safety.
• Keep informed of monthly chemical analysis of heating, cooling, and condenser water loops and maintain high-quality program.
• Maintain on-call list to ensure weekend/holiday attendance.
