Jones Services in Hudson Valley, NY is seeking an experienced Lead HVAC Installer who will manage residential installation projects from start to finish, lead apprentices, and uphold high safety and quality standards on every job.

You will install furnaces, boilers, air conditioners, heat pumps, and related equipment, review job details, train helpers, ensure codes compliance, and provide clear operation and maintenance guidance to homeowners.

Qualifications

• EPA Universal Certification required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Applicable trade licenses or certifications.
• Experience leading residential HVAC replacement and installation projects.
• Ability to train, coach, and direct apprentices or installation helpers.
• Commitment to quality workmanship, safety, and code compliance.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead residential HVAC replacement and installation projects from start to finish.
• Install furnaces, boilers, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, mini-splits, thermostats, and indoor air quality equipment.
• Complete ductwork modifications, refrigerant piping, drainage, venting, gas piping, wiring, and related system connections.
• Review job details and identify equipment, material, or scope concerns before and during installation.
• Direct, train, and support apprentices and installation helpers.
• Perform equipment startups, charging, airflow verification, testing, and commissioning.
• Troubleshoot installation issues and ensure work meets applicable codes, manufacturer requirements, and company standards.
• Protect customers’ homes and maintain clean, organized, and safe jobsites.
• Explain system operation, maintenance expectations, and warranty information to homeowners.
• Complete accurate job documentation, equipment records, and required photos.
• Coordinate with sales, service, dispatch, warehouse, and operations teams.
• Maintain assigned vehicles, tools, equipment, materials, and inventory.
