Job summary

Thirty Madison Ventures is seeking a Lead HVAC Installer in Canaan, NH to lead residential retrofit installs (heat pumps, mini-splits, furnaces, boilers) and run a two-person crew, training a junior installer while ensuring work is completed to spec.

The role follows a four 10-hour day schedule (Tue–Fri, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM) with paid lunch and overtime as needed; there is significant room to grow into leadership and even ownership for the right person.

Qualifications

• EPA 608 certification or willingness to earn it (company pays for the class)
• Valid, clean driver’s license
• Ability to pass a DOT health screening (required to drive larger trucks)
• Clean background check
• Coachable and detail-oriented, open to strict installation process

Responsibilities

• Lead residential retrofit installs (heat pumps, mini-splits, central AC, furnaces, boilers, gas piping, water heaters)
• Run a two-person install crew and train a junior installer
• Cross-train across every crew role and pitch in as needed
• Complete jobs typically 1–4 days in size
• Install systems to manufacturer recommendations with no shortcuts
• Use knowledge of building construction to navigate walls and voids
• Occasionally perform light commercial work and new construction in winter
• Suggest improvements and follow established standards
• Assist with service and repair on installed equipment
