Job summary

Bob Boldt HVAC is seeking a Lead Installer to manage demanding HVAC projects from start to finish, with the expertise to supervise and mentor junior crew members. The role covers split and package unit work, zone systems, ducts, humidifiers, and plumbing tasks such as tankless water heaters and boilers.

You will diagnose refrigerant and electrical issues on-site, plan and measure jobs, and design full home retrofits.

• Train and mentor installation helpers and technicians on-site.

Job description

Bob Boldt HVAC is looking for a Lead Installer to take on our most demanding installation and repair work. This is a role for someone who has already put in the time in the field and is ready to lead jobs from start to finish, with the skill and judgment to back it up.

Our lead installers are the backbone of every project that comes through the door. You will be trusted to run complex jobs with little to no supervision, and your work will set the standard other team members look to as they grow in their own careers.

WHAT THE WORK LOOKS LIKE

You will handle full split and package unit changeouts, zone system installations, duct system replacements, humidifier installations, and plumbing work like tankless water heaters, water softeners, and hot water boilers. When something rare and unexpected comes up — a motor swap, a control board replacement — you're the one who handles it. You will diagnose refrigerant and electrical issues on the spot, plan and measure jobs before they start, run heat load and duct sizing calculations, and design a full retrofit for a home that needs one. You will braze and solder with precision, close out warranty calls without a second visit, and keep your work vehicle stocked and organized. You will also train and mentor installation helpers and specialists, giving other techs technical support in person and over the phone as they build the skills to move up the same path you did.
