Custom Sheet Metal & Heating, Inc. is seeking a Lead Residential HVAC Installer to manage equipment replacements and installation projects in customers' homes in Michigan.

The role offers hourly pay from $27 to $35 based on experience and qualifications and requires hands-on leadership on installations. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of HVAC installation experience, with preference for residential changeouts.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of HVAC installation experience is preferred.
• Residential HVAC replacement and changeout experience is preferred.
• Ability to lead helpers and coordinate daily installation work.
• Familiarity with furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and air handlers.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and installation instructions.
• Knowledge of basic electrical, sheet metal, and airflow practices.
• HVAC trade-school education as a foundation.
• EPA and NATE certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Lead Installer will complete residential heating and cooling system replacements, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, thermostats, and related components.
• Review each job, confirm equipment and materials, protect the customer's home, remove existing systems, and complete clean, professional installations.
• Make electrical and sheet metal connections, follow manufacturer specifications, read wiring diagrams, assist with system startup, verify operation, and clean the work area.
• Communicate job progress or concerns and explain basic system operation to homeowners.

Custom Sheet Metal & Heating, Inc. is hiring a Lead Residential HVAC Installer to manage equipment replacements and installation projects in customers' homes. We are looking for an experienced installer who values quality workmanship, keeps an organized jobsite, and treats every customer's property with care and respect.

The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined and capable of completing residential installations from removal of the existing system through startup of the new equipment. This is a hands-on leadership position that may also include directing helpers and developing less-experienced installers.

Three to five years of HVAC installation experience is preferred. Candidates with strong residential changeout experience will receive priority consideration.
