Job summary

Advocate Health's Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC, seeks a Lead Maintenance Trades Specialist (HVAC) for full-time 1st shift. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 am–2:30 pm with rotating on-call.

Requires advanced technical skills across facility systems and supervision of maintenance activities. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, complex repairs, BAS monitoring, vendor coordination, and maintaining calibration/testing records.

Qualifications

5+ years of relatable industrial/trades maintenance or operations experience.
Advanced technical training beyond high school.

Responsibilities

Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on complex facility systems.
Diagnoses and implements repairs for multiple Utility System, Infrastructure and Life Safety Systems.
Installs/maintains building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and controls systems.
Operates and monitors advanced utility equipment and oversees building automation systems.
Maintains vacuum, compressed air, and medical gas systems.
Reads and updates blueprints and Life Safety drawings for accurate task completion.
Interfaces with vendors and contractors to ensure safe interfacing and tie-in.
Coordinates, schedules and maintains required testing, calibrations and maintenance records.
