Job summary
Atrium Health Mercy in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Lead Maintenance Trades Specialist – HVAC to oversee preventive maintenance, repairs, and operation of complex facility systems. You will diagnose and fix issues across utility, life-safety, and building automation systems, ensuring safety and reliability of critical infrastructure.
The role requires advanced technical training, 5+ years in industrial maintenance, and the ability to read blueprints.
Qualifications
- Advanced training beyond high school in a technical field.
- 5+ years of related industrial/trades maintenance experience.
- Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
- Strong safety and compliance knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on complex facility systems.
- Diagnoses and repairs multiple utility and life-safety systems.
- Installs and maintains building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and control systems.
- Operates and oversees building automation systems to improve efficiency.
- Maintains vacuum, compressed air, and medical gas systems.
- Reads blueprints and Life Safety drawings and updates manuals.
- Coordinates with vendors and contractors for safe interfacing.
- Schedules testing, calibrations and maintains maintenance records.
