Job summary

Texas Southern University is seeking a Building Engineer HVAC to maintain and repair the campus HVAC system under general supervision. The role involves overseeing air handling units, boilers, chillers, and cooling towers, keeping detailed records, and coordinating with contractors on major projects.

High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
Five (5) to seven (7) years of related experience.
Registered AC & Refrigeration Technician License.
Valid Texas Driver’s License preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform services and maintain HVAC equipment including air handling units, chillers, pumps, exhaust fans and boilers.
Perform corrective maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting for HVAC systems.
Maintain Central Plant (Chillers, Boilers, Cooling Towers).
Review all work orders before and after completion.
Interface with contractors to convey and interpret information, standards, and codes.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
