Job summary

Navy Exchange Service Command seeks a working leader for Navy Gateway Inn and Suites and/or Navy Lodge properties in Newport, RI. You will supervise housekeeping Attendants, inspect guest rooms and public spaces, and ensure standards are met while supporting safety and guest relations.

The role requires leading by example, training staff, and coordinating with supervisors. A valid driver’s license is needed for travel to other lodging facilities as required; no prior experience is required

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• Preference for 6 months housekeeping experience.
• Leadership and/or training experience preferred.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license to travel to other lodging facilities as required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and assign work to Housekeeping Attendants and relay instructions from supervisor.
• Assist in training new associates and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
• Train staff on cleaning methods and efficient housekeeping practices.
• Maintain supplies, linen, and inventory for housekeeping operations.
• Greet guests and maintain excellent guest relations.
• Inspect rooms and common areas, document inspections, and ensure privacy and safety.
