Job summary

Extended Stay America is seeking a full-time lead housekeeping professional to assist management in supervising the housekeeping team, training staff, and upholding cleaning standards across the hotel. The role involves working with maintenance on preventative and deep cleaning tasks and inspecting guest rooms for quality assurance.

You will independently manage daily housekeeping duties, support the maintenance program, and help ensure guest rooms and public areas meet company standards.

Qualifications

• Read and speak English; comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Responsibilities

• Trains new and existing housekeepers; inspects guest rooms; adheres to company standards, policies and procedures.
• Works with maintenance engineer on preventative maintenance and deep cleaning programs; supports guest room inspections.
• Manages daily housekeeping tasks and assists with weekend out-of-room cleaning as needed.
• Ensures housekeeping carts, carts rooms, and laundry areas are maintained to company standards.
• Motivates staff; supports company initiatives within the department; completes annual ESU training.
