Job summary

HHM Hotels is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the maintenance team across the hotel, ensuring guest comfort and sustainability. You will manage projects, oversee vendor contracts, and supervise repairs while maintaining safety and compliance with codes.

The role requires HVAC certification and prior supervisory maintenance experience, with flexibility to work varied shifts as needed to maintain hotel operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or trade school coursework.
• Supervisory engineer/maintenance experience required.
• HVAC certification required.
• Other certifications may be required based on local needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance team to ensure brand standards and guest satisfaction.
• Manage and coordinate bids, quotes, and contracts for 3rd party vendors.
• Oversee small projects or Property Improvement Plans (PIPs) and report progress.
• Perform and oversee diverse repairs including HVAC, electrical, plumbing tasks.
• Troubleshoot kitchen equipment and heating/cooling systems; install televisions as needed.
• Maintain PM records for all rooms and equipment; test life safety systems.
