Job summary

HHM Hotels is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead maintenance operations across the hotel, ensuring guest comfort and sustainability standards are met. The role supervises staff, manages vendor contracts, and drives small projects and PIPs to completion.

Key responsibilities include HVAC and systems repairs, life-safety testing, regulatory compliance, and maintaining exterior upkeep. The position emphasizes safety, reliability, and guest satisfaction, with opportunities for growth into regional

Qualifications

High School diploma or trade school preferred.
Supervisory engineer/maintenance experience required.
HVAC certification required.

Responsibilities

Lead and coach maintenance staff to meet brand standards and values.
Manage bids, quotes, and contracts for third-party vendors.
Oversee small projects and Property Improvement Plans (PIPs) and report progress.
Perform and oversee repairs including sheetrock, painting, furniture refinishing, and fixture replacements.
Troubleshoot kitchen equipment and repair pumps; install and program televisions.
Maintain PM records across rooms and equipment; test life safety systems.
Coordinate service contracts to meet local, state, and federal codes.
Maintain building exterior and curb appeal following sustainability guidelines.
Follow MSDS/OSHA standards to improve guest satisfaction.
