Job summary

The Yacht Club in New York invites an experienced Lead Host to welcome guests, manage the front door, and maximize seating during busy evenings. This part-time role requires night and weekend shifts, and offers a respectful workplace with industry-leading tips.

You will lead the front-of-house team, coordinate with management, and maintain a smooth guest flow from arrival to seating. Applicants should be reliable, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic about hospitality in a waterfront dining setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to multitask in a high-volume environment.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Experience with guest services and POS systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set the tone for the guest experience through front-door operations.
• Mentor junior hosts and coordinate with the Guest Services team.
• Manage reservations via Resy and maintain an accurate wait list during peak times.
• Provide friendly, energetic, detail-oriented service to guests.
• Attend to guest needs and communicate effectively with FOH/BOH and management.
