Job summary

José Andrés Group is seeking a Lead Host in a fast-paced, upscale dining environment. You will oversee door flow, reservations, seating strategy, and guest communication while supporting the Host team in delivering warm hospitality.

The ideal candidate has 1–2+ years in a host role, strong reservation system knowledge (Resy/SevenRooms/TOCK/OpenTable), and outstanding organization. This role offers competitive hourly pay and career growth opportunities within JAG.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of Host, Lead Host, or comparable guest-facing hospitality experience preferred.
• Experience in high-volume, upscale, or fine dining restaurant preferred.
• Strong knowledge of reservation management, waitlists, floor plans, and seating strategy.
• Experience with reservation platforms such as Resy, SevenRooms, TOCK, or OpenTable preferred.
• Polished verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional organization and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Set the tone for warm, genuine hospitality at the door and greet guests promptly.
• Maintain reservations, waitlists, and seating strategy to optimize seating and guest experience.
• Lead the Host team during service and aid in training and process adherence.
• Handle guest questions and resolve concerns with poise and empathy.
• Coordinate with FOH leadership to manage large parties and VIPs smoothly.
• Keep guest profiles, notes, and preferences accurate and up to date.
• Document delays or changes and communicate them to guests and staff.
• Ensure a clean, organized, and presentation-ready host stand and entrance.
