Bryan Health is seeking a Security Supervisor to lead hospital security officers across Bryan East and West campuses in Lincoln, NE. The role ensures safe, professional operations, post coverage, and incident reporting to protect patients, visitors, staff, and providers.

The position emphasizes day-to-day supervision, training, and maintaining vigilance for safety and security across shifts with a focus on de-escalation and rapid response.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of experience in a healthcare or related security setting preferred.
• Leadership or lead experience is preferred.
• Management of Assaultive Behaviors training within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision of hospital security officers on assigned shift.
• Assist in training of hospital security officers and review procedures.
• Observe and remain vigilant for signs of crime, disorder, hazard, and unusual activity.
• Respond to calls for escorted services, disturbances, and security/medical assistance.
• Patrol on foot or by vehicle to check for unsafe conditions and security violations.
• De-escalate individuals and direct disruptive persons off the property.
• Inspect security devices and fire control equipment.
• Screen patients, visitors, staff, and providers for admission and weapons screening.
• Respond to emergencies (fire, medical, bomb threat, weather) calmly and promptly.
• Prepare logs and investigative reports with clear information.
