Responsibilities

• Lead and role model mission, beliefs and behaviors of the Medical Center.
• Assist with concurrent and retrospective resolution of patient/physician concerns.
• Ensure staff competence and retention strategies.
• Coordinate admissions, discharges and transfers within perioperative services.
• Delegate tasks and provide timely feedback to staff.
• Communicate unit changes to the Nurse Manager and team.
• Support preceptor programs, orientations, and staff education.
• Monitor day-to-day operations and surgical scheduling needs.
