Job summary

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Nebraska or an approved compact state.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required.
• Evidence of certification and/or instruction for practice area as required by State or Federal standards/regulations.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to delegate, provide instruction and evaluate the work of LPNs and unlicensed professionals.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Ability to exercise professional judgment and tact in daily interactions.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with health care team members and diverse patient populations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with varied patient needs.
• Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and participate in care planning.
• Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses and other staff per Nebraska statute.
• Document patient care per Bryan Medical Center procedures.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to implement care plans.
• Educate patients and families to meet identified needs.
• Evaluate patient responses and progress toward outcomes.
• Facilitate transitions to the next level of care.
• Contribute to continuous learning and performance improvement.
