Job summary

Cardinal Health manages the pharmacy at PAM Specialty Hospital of Sarasota and we are currently hiring for a Pharmacy Manager. The Manager coordinates clinical and administrative activities to optimize procedures, reduce costs and ensure compliant operations while maintaining inventory control and staff performance.

The role oversees staffing, budgeting and on-call coverage, ensuring collaboration with nursing and medical staff to deliver safe patient care and efficient pharmacy services.

Qualifications

• Florida Pharmacist license in good standing.
• Board Certification(s) preferred.
• ASHP-accredited residency and/or fellowship preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise clinical activities delegated by the Director of Pharmacy.
• Coordinate administrative activities including scheduling and monthly reporting.
• Ensure regulatory compliance for medicine handling and inventory control.
• Manage daily activities of pharmacy technicians and monitor performance.
• Provide pharmaceutical care to patients and oversee interventional drug preparation when needed.
• Maintain pharmacist certifications and access controls to patient records.
• Lead hiring, onboarding, and performance management of staff.
• Oversee workflows to optimize staffing and operations.
