Job summary

Cardinal Health manages the pharmacy at PAM Specialty Hospital of Sarasota and we are currently hiring for a Pharmacy Manager. The Manager coordinates clinical and administrative activities, ensures compliant operations, and leads staffing, inventory and vendor management to support patient care.

The role requires Florida pharmacist licensure, hospital experience, and strong leadership. Working hours are Monday–Friday with on-call duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy or PharmD.
• Must be a licensed Pharmacist in Florida in good standing.
• Able to serve as Florida Consultant of Record (COR).
• Hospital/inpatient experience strongly preferred.
• Management experience preferred.
• Board Certification(s) preferred.
• ASHP-accredited residency/fellowship preferred.
• Ability to develop, implement and lead all aspects of pharmacy operation.
• Clear communication with customers and healthcare professionals.
• Excellent planning, organizing and leadership skills.
• Strong customer orientation and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work on call or be in on-call rotation.
• Lift up to 35 pounds and stand for whole shift.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise daily operations of the pharmacy.
• Administer policies and ensure guidelines are followed.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
• Oversee procurement, inventory, and budget control.
• Provide pharmaceutical care to patients as staff pharmacist.
• Communicate with nursing, physicians and admin areas for alternatives.
• Lead process improvements to lower costs and improve efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with Federal and state regulations.
