Cardinal Health manages the pharmacy at PAM Specialty Hospital of Reno, located in Reno, NV. We are currently recruiting for a full-time Pharmacy Manager to work Monday - Friday, 8:00AM to 4:30PM and on-call as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or PharmD is required.
• Nevada license in good standing as a pharmacist.
• Inpatient/hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Management experience preferred.
• IV experience preferred.
• Ability to develop, implement and lead all aspects of pharmacy operation.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work on call or in on-call rotation.
• Vendor credentialing may be required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, direct and evaluate all clinical activities as delegated by the Director of Pharmacy.
• Plan, coordinate, direct and evaluate all administrative activities including scheduling and reporting.
• Implement procedures to comply with medicine handling regulations and inventory controls.
• Manage day-to-day activities of the pharmacy technicians and monitor performance.
• In absence of medicines, communicate with nursing and doctors to provide alternatives.
• Maintain pharmacist certifications and access to medical records.
• Provide pharmaceutical care to patients as staff pharmacist.
• Manage inventory and procure alternative drugs to mitigate risks.
• Lead hiring, onboarding and performance management of staff.
• Optimize internal workflows for acute pharmacy operations.
• Participate in hospital meetings and cross-functional coordination.
• Assist in cost reduction, efficiency, and growth initiatives.
• Oversee End of Month QA reports and related duties.
• Other duties as assigned.
