Job summary

Cardinal Health manages the pharmacy for AMG Specialty Hospital – Clear Lake, and we are currently looking for a Pharmacy Manager. Hours of the facility are Monday-Friday 8AM-4:30PM - weekends and holidays are 7AM-1:30PM. Schedule will primarily be Monday-Friday with occasional weekends.

We are seeking a licensed Pharmacist with hospital experience to lead operations, supervise technicians, and drive cost-efficient, compliant pharmacy services in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Must be a good standing licensed Pharmacist in Texas.
• 2+ years of hospital pharmacy and preferably hospital management experience.
• IV certification required.
• Ability to develop, implement and lead all aspects of pharmacy operation.
• Excellent communication with nurses, doctors and administrative staff.
• Strong leadership and planning skills.
• Willing to work on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise the daily activities of operations or business staff.
• Direct scheduling and performance of pharmacy technicians.
• Ensure compliance with medicine handling regulations and procedures.
• Maintain inventory and procure drugs to ensure availability.
• Lead hiring, onboarding and competency evaluations for staff.
• Collaborate with hospital committees to improve processes.
• Support cost reduction and efficiency improvements for profitability.
