Job summary

Cardinal Health manages the pharmacy at PAM Specialty Hospital of Sarasota and we are currently hiring for a Pharmacy Manager. The Manager coordinates clinical and administrative activities, supervises staff, and drives cost control and efficiency while ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality patient care.

The role requires a PharmD or B.Pharm with Florida licensure, hospital experience, and leadership skills. On-call rotation and onsite work in Sarasota, FL are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or PharmD and active Florida license.
• Hospital/inpatient experience preferred.
• Management experience preferred.
• ASHP-accredited residency and/or fellowship preferred.
• Board Certification(s) preferred.
• Ability to develop, implement and lead all aspects of pharmacy operation.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, directs and evaluates clinical activities as delegated by the Director of Pharmacy.
• Plans, coordinates, directs and evaluates administrative activities including scheduling and compliance.
• Manages day-to-day activities of pharmacy technicians and monitors performance to meet goals.
• Maintains pharmacist certifications and access controls to medical records.
• Provides pharmaceutical care and oversees inventory and staffing to ensure optimal supply and patient care.

Education

Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or PharmD

Florida Pharmacist License (active)

ASHP-accredited residency or fellowship

Board Certification(s) preferred

Management experience preferred
