Community in Florida is seeking a Cook to manage and operate the kitchen in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor, reporting to the Dietary Supervisor.

You will prepare meals for residents, follow menus, maintain sanitation, and supervise dietary staff when needed. Requires ServSafe certification and hospital/long-term care cooking experience.

This role emphasizes safety, quality and teamwork in a care-focused kitchen environment.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a cook in a hospital or long term care facility for at least 1 year.
• Must obtain and maintain ServSafe Certificate.
• Knowledge and experience with PCC preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain kitchen and cooking area in a safe, orderly, clean and sanitary manner.
• Prepare tasteful meals and cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Follow prepared menus and portion control guides; prepare special diets accurately.
• Record food temperatures; prepare pureed foods; cooperate with all departments.
• Maintain sanitizer buckets and assist with serving meals; ensure cleaning schedules are followed.
• Report resident care concerns to Administrator/Director of Nurses; participate in staff training.
• Supervise in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor; present appealing food presentations.
