Job summary

EATONCREEK is seeking a cook to manage and operate the kitchen in the absence of the Diet Supervisor. You will prepare meals, follow menus, and ensure portion control and special diets are accurately followed.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of hospital or long-term care cooking experience. ServSafe certification is required, with PCC knowledge preferred. Physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds and stand long hours is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a cook in a hospital or long-term care facility (minimum 1 year).
• Ability to read technical procedures and follow recipes.

Responsibilities

• Manage and operate the kitchen in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor.
• Prepare tasteful meals and cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Follow prepared menus and portion control guides; prepare special diets accurately.
• Report resident care concerns and participate in training of dietary staff.
• Supervise cleaning schedules and maintain sanitation standards; ensure SafeServ PCC practices.
