Job summary

KB Home is seeking a dynamic Superintendent/Construction Manager to lead homebuilding from groundbreaking to close within an assigned California community. You will drive profitability, collaborate with trade partners, inspectors, and buyers to uphold quality and customer satisfaction.

Requirements include a high school diploma (associate or bachelor preferred), 1+ year as a Construction Manager or Superintendent, 2–5 years industry experience, and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor degree preferred.
• Construction Management degree or certificate preferred.
• Minimum one year as Construction Manager or Superintendent in homebuilding.
• 2–5 years of construction experience with a production homebuilder preferred.
• Strong customer service, leadership and people skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct KB staff and trade partners in constructing quality homes.
• Manage milestone reports and ensure homes are completed per schedule.
• Schedule and monitor trade partners, ensuring safety and policy compliance.
• Approve purchase orders and invoices to maintain quality and timeliness.
• Maintain site cleanliness and accountability for trade partners.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Sales, Studio, Purchasing and others to ensure timely construction.
• Ensure 100% complete and signed home deliveries & conduct orientations with buyers.
• Resolve concerns and work with salesforce to ensure satisfaction.
• Facilitate weekly safety meetings and daily status updates on progress.
