Job summary

Historic Tours of America is seeking a Lead Historyteller in St. Augustine to bring the city’s 1908 history to life in a fun, engaging way while maintaining accuracy and the company mission as The Nation’s Storyteller.

You will supervise acting staff and help ensure memorable guest experiences. Responsibilities include leading by example, training staff, coordinating with the Manager on Duty, and presenting history in costume indoors and outdoors in varying weather, with up to 65 guests per

Qualifications

• Must convey history of St. Augustine in an entertaining, accurate way.
• Ability to lead and train staff and motivate others.
• Ability to establish professional relationships and uphold company values.
• Learn and relay scripted history with accuracy and flexibility.
• Deliver scripted stories within allotted time and with clarity.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Manager to supervise acting staff and oversee daily operation of the attraction.
• Present historically accurate information in costume to groups of guests.
• Maintain show quality, safety, and guest experience; respond to operational needs.
