Job summary

Prellis Biologics, Inc in Berkeley, CA, seeks a Principal Associate Scientist / Scientist for the High Throughput Discovery group. You will apply high-throughput platforms to identify lead antibody candidates earlier and faster from immunization campaigns, isolating B cells and plasma cells and advancing primary screens.

The role offers a hands-on, cross-functional environment with opportunities to influence discovery strategies, collaborate with Engineering, Data Science/AI, and Production

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience developing primary screens using ELISA and cell-based assays.
• Experience isolating and enriching B cells or plasma cells, including FACS.
• Strong technique in handling primary lymphocytes with aseptic methods.
• Proficiency in cloning, PCR, mammalian cell culture, and transfection.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present findings.

Responsibilities

• Isolate and enrich B cells and plasma cells from immunization campaigns and identify antigen-specific B cells.
• Develop, execute, and optimize primary screens (ELISA and cell-based assays).
• Scale high-throughput screening strategies for binder discovery.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to enhance discovery capabilities.
• Maintain automated workflows and ensure data quality and reproducibility.
• Collaborate with antibody engineering, discovery, production, and data science teams.
• Manage multiple projects with timely delivery and clear data communication.
