Job summary

Blue Origin in Seattle seeks a Principal PCB Hardware Engineer to lead high-speed PCB design for the TeraWave network switch platform. Apply advanced SI/PI techniques to space-grade hardware designed for a multi-orbit constellation.

The role requires deep SerDes/memory interface expertise, PDN design, EMC, and DFM/DFT, with bring-up, validation, and cross-team BSP collaboration as core duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in high-speed PCB design and hardware development.
• Proven track record shipping complex PCBs to production.
• Deep expertise in SI, eye-diagram analysis, and PDN validation.
• Hands-on with PDN design and EMI/EMC considerations.
• Experience with DF(M) and DFT, vendor coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead hardware bring-up and validation of the TeraWave switch PCB.
• Characterize SI/PI, eye diagrams, BER, and perform SI validation.
• Collaborate with firmware/software teams for BSP integration.
• Diagnose and resolve PCB issues, feeding back to design guidelines.
• Coordinate with fabrication vendors, assembly, and yield optimization.
