Job summary

Blue Origin LLC seeks an experienced hardware design engineer to design, analyze, and validate circuit card assemblies for high-speed digital and networking payload systems. You will own hardware from concept through production, collaborating with FPGA, software, test, and manufacturing teams to meet performance and SWaP-C constraints.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of hardware design experience for aerospace/defense or high-reliability applications.
• Experience with high-speed digital circuit design and analysis.
• Strong problem-solving and independent work abilities.
• Effective cross-functional communication across engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with systems and subsystem stakeholders to translate requirements into hardware designs meeting performance, reliability, and SWaP-C constraints.
• Perform circuit-level analysis including Worst Case Analysis, Derating, DFMEA, and SI/PI analyses.
• Represent hardware across the full development lifecycle and interface with procurement, software, FPGA, harness, test, and manufacturing teams.
• Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) to support high-volume production; perform PFMEA.
• Lead and support bring-up, debug, and functional verification of circuit card assemblies.
• Operate independently, managing priorities, risks, and opportunities in a fast-paced environment.
