Job summary

Trueline Talent's client in the Madison, WI area is seeking an experienced Project Manager for Custom Home Construction. You will own high-end residential projects, keep homeowners and trade partners aligned, and see homes through from contract to completion.

Responsibilities include leading projects from pre-construction to warranty, building schedules, coordinating trades, and ensuring safety and quality. Buildertrend proficiency and a collaborative, detail‑oriented mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of residential construction experience (custom home/build)
• Strong ability to read plans and anticipate construction challenges
• Excellent communication and coordination across homeowners, trades, and internal teams
• Commitment to quality, safety, and schedule adherence

Responsibilities

• Lead custom residential projects from pre-construction through final walkthrough and warranty
• Build and manage project schedules, coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, inspections, selections, and milestones
• Maintain proactive communication with homeowners and manage expectations
• Coordinate with architects, designers, engineers, trade partners, and internal teams to address issues
• Regularly visit jobsites to monitor progress, craftsmanship, safety, organization, and schedule
• Manage multiple active projects with focus on budget, quality, and client experience
• Drive projects toward clean turnover with minimal punch-list items
• Maintain accurate project information and schedules using Buildertrend or similar software
