Job summary

Barnhart Crane & Rigging is seeking a Heavy Haul Foreman to lead field crews in transporting some of the largest loads across North America. You will coordinate specialized equipment, oversee daily schedules, and ensure all operations meet safety and quality standards on complex transport projects.

The role requires 5+ years in heavy haul or related fields, strong leadership, and the ability to travel frequently.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in heavy-haul, transportation, construction, rigging, or heavy equipment operations.
• Previous leadership, crew lead, or foreman experience.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to coordinate personnel, equipment, and schedules in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel frequently.
• CDL-A license or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise crews supporting heavy haul and specialized transportation operations.
• Coordinate movement of over-dimensional and super loads to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Plan and oversee daily work activities, manpower, equipment utilization, and project schedules.
• Collaborate with project leadership to resolve operational challenges affecting productivity or scheduling.
• Support loading, transporting, unloading, and positioning heavy components/equipment.
• Inspect equipment and ensure trailers and securement systems are safe and effective.
• Lead daily planning meetings and communicate expectations to crews.
• Maintain project documentation, inspections, and compliance throughout transports.
