Job summary

Barnhart is seeking a Heavy Haul Foreman to lead crews responsible for executing critical transportation projects across North America. You will coordinate specialized equipment, oversee daily plans, and ensure oversized loads move safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license required.
• Strong commitment to safe equipment operation.
• 5+ years of experience in heavy haul, transportation, construction, rigging, or heavy equipment operations.
• Previous leadership, crew lead, or foreman experience.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise crews supporting heavy haul and specialized transportation operations.
• Coordinate the movement of over-dimensional and super loads, ensuring projects are completed safely and efficiently.
• Plan and oversee daily work activities, manpower needs, equipment utilization, and project schedules.
• Work closely with project leadership to identify and resolve operational challenges that impact productivity or scheduling.
• Support loading, transporting, unloading, and positioning of heavy components and equipment.
• Conduct inspections and ensure all transportation equipment, trailers, and securement systems are operating safely and effectively.
• Lead daily planning meetings and communicate expectations, work plans, and safety requirements to crews.
• Maintain project documentation, inspections, and compliance requirements throughout each transport operation.
