The City of Modesto seeks a Heavy Equipment Mechanic Crewleader to supervise and coordinate the maintenance team for transit buses and other gas- and diesel-powered equipment. You will perform complex repairs and ensure high-quality work while supporting the Operations Supervisor.

Responsibilities include scheduling, organizing, and reviewing the crew's tasks, ensuring safety standards, and coordinating with other city departments for efficient service delivery.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required with specialized training for gas- and diesel-powered equipment.
• ASE certifications in four heavy-duty areas required within one year of appointment.
• EPA Vehicle Air Conditioning Certificate required within one year of appointment.

Mansioni

• Schedule, organize, assign and review the work of the maintenance crew.
• Perform the most complex repairs on automotive, diesel, public safety, and power-driven equipment.
• Provide support to the Operations Supervisor and ensure efficient transit vehicle maintenance.
