Job summary

M. J. Electric, LLC, a Quanta Services company, seeks a Field Mechanic to troubleshoot, maintain and repair diesel/gas engines, hydraulics and heavy equipment used in electrical construction projects across the region.

Responsibilities include inspecting engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and performing maintenance; extensive travel is required. A valid CDL and high school diploma are required, with growth opportunities in a safety-focused, long-standing utility contractor environment.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years experience diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment or trucks.
• Ability to read/interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics and manuals.
• Must possess a valid CDL and basic DOT knowledge.
• High school diploma or-equivalent; CDL preferred.
• Ability to travel to multiple job sites over a region.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, inspect and repair diesel/gas engines and hydraulic systems.
• Replace/repair damaged components and perform maintenance checks.
• Maintain equipment including engines, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Travel to regional job sites and provide mechanical oversight on projects.
• Ensure DOT and safety inspections are up-to-date.
