Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Lead Technician to direct a team of technicians in performing repairs and preventive maintenance on chassis trucks and refuse bodies. Responsibilities include diagnosing complex issues, coaching junior staff, scheduling work, and ensuring safety compliance with OSHA standards on-site across our Mississippi operation.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of heavy-truck tech experience, some supervisory exposure, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a technician working on heavy-duty trucks.
• OSHA Haz Com, Lock Out Tag Out, and fire protection reg. knowledge is a plus.
• 1 year of supervisory or lead technician experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction to technicians to ensure safe, efficient repairs.
• Schedule and prioritize repair work to minimize downtime.
• Perform complex diagnostics and inspections, including third-party work review.
• Mentor junior technicians and handle supervisor responsibilities when needed.
