Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician A to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel trucks, including chassis, refuse bodies, and air brake systems. You will work under supervision on a single fleet with state‑of‑the‑art equipment and play a key role in keeping drivers on their routes.

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi-system issues with technical expertise.
• 5-7 years of experience on heavy-duty trucks.
• Inspect/repair multiple heavy-truck systems (Suspensions, Engine, Transmissions, Brakes, Electrical, Hydraulics, Drive Train, Diesel Emissions).

Responsibilities

• Maintains advanced knowledge of vehicle components and systems, on-site and on the road.
• Chassis component repair and maintenance.
• Refuse bodies and braking systems; air/hydraulic systems.
• Engine repair and diagnostics.
• Diesel fuel systems diagnostics.

Skills

Heavy-duty truck experience

Multi-system diagnosis

Suspension/Steering knowledge

ASE Heavy Truck Certification (T1-T8)

LNG/CNG experience

CDL-B preferred
