Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise seeks a Hardware Engineer to join the Hardware Sustaining group. You will investigate and remediate critical hardware issues in flagship networking products, document RCAs, and drive corrective actions.

You will lead cross-functional teams to improve hardware quality and share lessons learned with appropriate groups, ensuring timely closures and knowledge transfer across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering.
• 8+ years hardware design, debug and testing at the board/system level.
• Expertise in debugging hardware with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and networking test gear.
• PCB design experience including schematic capture, PCB layout and Cadence tools.
• Knowledge of networking hardware interfaces and high-speed links.

Responsibilities

• Lead failure analysis for critical hardware issues from field and factory.
• Extract and share "Lessons Learned" to drive hardware quality improvements.
• Collaborate with Engineering/Manufacturing to drive corrective actions.
• Analyze hardware quality metrics and failure trends.
• Provide technical leadership into multi-sourcing and change management.
• Review hardware test reports and coordinate with design teams to resolve.
• Mentor junior members and foster a collaborative environment.
