Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise seeks a Hardware Engineer to lead failure analysis and RCCA for critical hardware issues, driving corrective actions and lessons learned across cross-functional teams.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing and Customer Support to improve hardware quality and product reliability, with a focus on fast issue resolution and effective documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering.
• 8+ years hardware design, debug and testing at board and system level.
• Experience debugging hardware with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and network test gear.
• PCB design including schematic capture, layout and routing; Cadence familiarity.
• Knowledge of networking hardware components and interfaces (ASICs, PHY, SerDes, PCIe, NVMe, SATA, I2C, USB).
• Expertise in high-speed circuit design, signal and power integrity.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead failure analysis for critical hardware issues; document RCCA and corrective actions.
• Extract and share lessons learned to drive hardware quality improvements.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to drive corrective actions.
• Analyze hardware quality metrics and identify failure trends requiring investigation.
• Provide technical leadership in multi-sourcing and change management for shipping products.
• Review test reports for new products and resolve quality concerns with design teams.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and promote knowledge sharing.
